Best way to combat piracy !

Monday, December 10, 2007 (2:01 AM)

Make the pirat-able material available online for free!

This is a great news for South Park Fans, that MTv has taken this stance for the solving piracy with their South Park Studios .  Very soon you will be able to download (I would have preferred streaming though, is it going to be there too?) each and every episode of South Park.

Lets hope that others follow the suite, and in this new era of 'open-ness' everything becomes available for free.

In Hindi there is a proverb - 'Na rahega baans na bajegi bansuri". Which is kind of means if the raw material itself disappears, then you will never think of using the final product...

Google Fixes IE Bug

Tuesday, December 06, 2005 (8:08 PM)

"aussie_a writes 'Without accepting blame Google has quickly patched the vulnerability, without requiring users to download a patch. Previously covered by Slashdot, the flaw allowed people to access files and passwords on a computer via any website when viewed with IE while running Google Desktop.' From the article: ''Google was able to address the problem quickly because it didn't require changing any code at the user's desktop,' MacDonald said. 'Google applied more stringent security controls on its main site, which shut down the exploit.' The incident does raise important questions about Google as a desktop software vendor and its plans for rolling out future security fixes, said MacDonald. '"

Technology Enabled Leather Jacket

"Definitely a cool idea for those who love taking their gadgets with them. This leather jacket is from the Technology Enabled Clothing line of Scottevest - and it has 41 pockets, many of them hidden, along with a tunnel architecture to keep headphone wires inside the lining of the jacket!"

now with this technology equipped jacket, u just have to search for how many things you can stuff in it !

Google's Ten Golden Rules

selvan writes 'Newsweek is running an article entitled Google's Ten Golden Rules. The article, by Eric Schmidt and Hal Varian, going into the philosophy behind the company.' From the article: 'Don't be evil. Much has been written about Google's slogan, but we really try to live by it, particularly in the ranks of management. As in every organization, people are passionate about their views. But nobody throws chairs at Google, unlike management practices used at some other well-known technology companies. We foster to create an atmosphere of tolerance and respect, not a company full of yes men.'
